In the world of professional wrestling, the phrase “never say never” is often used, and Bobby Fish has experienced its truth firsthand. Although he is currently wrestling on the independent circuit, he has previously performed for both WWE and AEW. With Paul “Triple H” Levesque back in a creative position at WWE, there is speculation that Fish could return to the company. On the “Going Broadway Podcast,” Fish talked about the freedom he has enjoyed since becoming a free agent. He said,

“I am a free agent at the moment, so I can pop up anywhere and everywhere, which is cool because it hasn’t been that way for like a decade.”

After leaving AEW, Fish briefly wrestled for Impact Wrestling before making a return to New Japan Pro-Wrestling. His newfound freedom also allowed him to participate in a boxing card headlined by Floyd Mayweather last November, something he wouldn’t have been able to do under contract.

“Just enjoying the freedom, you know? Not having to ask for permission.”

While Fish is set to travel to Europe in April to compete against Will Ospreay, he hasn’t ruled out a return to WWE.

“Anything’s possible at this point. I’m enjoying the freedom and not entirely sure what’s to come. It’s just nice as an adult who pays their bills to not have to ask for permission.”
