WWE RAW Superstar Bobby Lashley is confident that he will step into the ring with Brock Lesnar one more time.
When Lashley returned to WWE in 2018, part of his decision was in the hopes of having a match with the Beast, which eventually happened at the 2022 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.
That match ended in controversy, as did their rematch at WWE Crown Jewel 2022, with both men having a win each.
Speaking with the Hindustan Times, Lashley expressed his confidence that a rubber match between the two will happen. He said,
“There hasn’t been too much interaction between the two of us. We’ve had a few matches, a few interactions that have happened on-screen, but outside of that, Brock’s kind of a guy that kind of keeps it to himself. So there hasn’t really been anything back with Brock. I don’t think anybody really had anything backstage with Brock. But I look forward to the matchup with him.
“I like the kind of contests where it can make me push myself. I like to fight. Brock likes to fight. There are a lot of similarities between the two of us, so I think that the next matchup is what everybody wants to see will be No Holds Barred. It’s probably gonna come to a point where we’re gonna get locked in a cage or an Extreme Rules match or something like that. But it’s about to happen.”
Lesnar hasn’t competed for WWE since his win over Lashley at Crown Jewel last November.
Lashley will challenge United States Champion Austin Theory on tonight’s RAW is XXX anniversary show.
