Bobby Lashley Calls Out Brock Lesnar

WWE Champion Bobby Lashley appeared on TMZ Sports and during it, he called out Brock Lesnar for a match.

Here is what he had to say:

On the significance of being the third black WWE Champion: “There is a great deal of significance. It’s just one of those things where in wrestling, you should be able to turn on the TV and see somebody that you can relate to. Somebody that you can kind of emulate. And for my son, I have a son that’s 12 years old, so bringing that title home to him, he can see everything. It’s one, my dad did it. And then he also gets to see a black champion. So he sees all of it, also. For me it’s very important for him and just anyone watching TV. Really, I’m not one race or the next because I think everybody deserves the opportunity. I just say that it’s cool to have little brown kids, little black kids running around like, ‘You know what? He’s the champion and I like that because I can see myself in him.”

On who he wants to defend his WWE title against: “Oh boy. You know, as a champion they say you always have to watch out for who’s coming after you. Yeah, I’ve got a big bullseye on the back. You know, Drew, I think Drew McIntyre is definitely one to try and get back in the race because I put my hands on him the other day and took the title away from him. And I don’t know what Miz is gonna do. Miz might try to come back and stir things up a bit. Braun’s still there. So those guys for sure leading into Wrestlemania. Everybody’s been kind of teasing the Brock name, he’s there also, nobody knows where he is but if he surfaces, then he’s definitely a person to jump in there. So I really don’t care who it is. I know that former champion Drew was on fire, so if I can have a match with him and really take him out and show him who’s boss, I think that would be on the top of my list.”

On a possible match or MMA fight with Lesnar: “Well, I’ll tell you this – I woke up this morning, I did my cardio. I ate my breakfast. I’m doing some interviews. I gotta go workout after this. I’ll be eating lunch… I can only control the things that I can control. I’m willing to fight, I’m willing to wrestle, I’m willing to do a 100 meter dash, I don’t care. I like those big matches. Brock is one of the biggest things across the sports industry, the sports world, across the board, so if I can have an opportunity to fight Brock or wrestle Brock, or do anything against Brock, I am 100% in, and I will be ready. That’s all I got to say about that. It’s not to Brock Lesnar, it would be more like, to Paul Heyman. Paul, call me. Before you guys always said that I had nothing or no reason for him to come after me. Now I do.”
