Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T is thrilled with his performance at last weekend’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.

In the Men’s Royal Rumble match, Booker was the 21st entrant and lasted 42 seconds before being eliminated by Gunther.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker spoke about competing in his first WWE match in over a decade and had high praise for Gunther. He said,

“It was freaking awesome. Gunther did an awesome job making history. That guy’s going to be a major, major player here for WWE for a long time. It was my honor to do the favor for him.

“I see stupid people saying, ‘Booker got jobbed out.’ I want to say this publicly so everyone can hear. I’d rather be jobbed out by Gunther than Gunther be jobbed out by me any day of the week.”

Gunther now holds the record for the longest time in a 30-Man Royal Rumble match, as the Austrian lasted over 71 minutes in the bout.

The WWE Intercontinental Champion was the #1 entrant and the last person to be eliminated by eventual winner Cody Rhodes.
