Chris Jericho Says AEW Will Survive With Or Without CM Punk

As we previously reported here on eWn, CM Punk was closing in on a return to AEW despite the All Out press conference incident and brawl with The Elite before his recent Instagram rant about Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho.

AEW President Tony Khan wanted to bring Punk back. The two sides were working towards that happening, with it being agreed to in principle and then Punk made the post.

Jericho reportedly told Punk after the brawl that he was a cancer to the promotion.

While appearing on The Mark Madden Show, Jericho was asked whether he thinks Punk will return to the promotion. Madden also joked about how they won’t be exchanging Christmas cards. Jericho said,

“You know, I’m not, but I wasn’t on Scott Hall’s Christmas card list or I wasn’t on Eric Bischoff’s Christmas card list. You don’t have to be best friends to coexist so, to me, that’s not really my wheelhouse. I’m not in charge of that. I’m sure there will be some answers to that pretty quickly I would assume. Either way, but to us, AEW’s gonna thrive and survive with or without him so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.”
