AEW will hold its All Out pay-per-view event in Chicago on September 4, but the main event has yet to be confirmed.
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk returned to AEW TV on last week’s Quake by the Lake special episode of Dynamite to confront Interim World Champion Jon Moxley.
AEW announced the World Championship unification match would take place on next week’s episode of Dynamite.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that CM Punk vs. Jon Moxley for both titles is still listed internally as the main event of All Out.
He wrote: “Currently the 9/4 All Out PPV has C.M. Punk vs. Jon Moxley for both belts (this is not announced and not 100 percent but it is being talked about as the current plan and there doesn’t appear to be a backup plan.)”
