WWE NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio found it surreal facing his father Rey at this year’s WrestleMania 39 pay-per-view event.
After months of refusing to strike his son, Rey finally agreed to a match against Dominik and would defeat ‘Dirty Dom’ in Los Angeles, CA.
Speaking to Metro, Dominik recalled facing his father at the biggest show of the year. He said,
“I was like, ‘Dude… I just wrestled my dad at WrestleMania. This is pretty surreal!’ I was like, ‘Damn, and I beat his ass!’”
Dominik is in his first reign as NXT North American Champion, having dethroned Wes Lee in July of this year.
