Eddie Kingston Says Backstage Fights Happen When Wrestlers “Don’t Know How To Use Their Words”

AEW’s Eddie Kingston believes wrestlers should try using their words to avoid fights breaking out backstage.

Kingston was briefly suspended from AEW earlier this year after a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara.

Addressing his backstage fight on the ‘Eat, Sleep, Podcast, Repeat’ podcast, Kingston explained why things can turn violent.

“It’s real simple. You’ve got a lot of people back there with egos. Some people believe other people don’t deserve to be in AEW, other people do believe they deserve to be in AEW.

“So when you’ve got a bunch of guys – men and women- who don’t know how to use their words? [chuckles] Things are gonna happen in the back.”

When asked about a possible Loser Leaves Town match with Guevara, Kingston retorted “maybe, who knows?”

In addition to the Kingston-Guevara fight, Andrade El Idolo recently picked a fight with Guevara over comments both men made about the other.

El Idolo was sent home from a recent AEW Dynamite taping which marked the show’s third anniversary, while Guevara, who did not fight back, was allowed to stay.

CM Punk, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks continue to be suspended for their role in the AEW All Out 2022 backstage fight.
