Eric Bischoff believes that Mike Tyson was pivotal in helping WWE turn the tide in the Monday Night Wars.
Though not currently employed by any wrestling promotion, Bischoff continues to engage with fans via his podcast and his social media accounts. Responding to a fan question on Twitter, Bischoff highlighted WWE’s inclusion of Mike Tyson as an inflection point for Vince McMahon’s promotion. He wrote,
“It was definitely THE pivot point where WWE abandoned their “teen and pre-teen” strategy and followed Nitros 18-49 strategy that had been kicking their ass. Just facts.”
