Will WWE NXT ever beat AEW in the war for ratings? Eric Bischoff certainly thinks so.
During the Wednesday Night Wars, NXT went head-to-head with AEW Dynamite and usually lost to Tony Khan’s flagship show.
With reports of flagging ratings, Bischoff told listeners of his 83 Weeks podcast that it is just a matter of time before NXT is on top. He said,
“At this point, NXT is probably going to deliver more ratings than Dynamite does by mid-summer.
“If the trend that you can see visually continues, my prediction for 2023 is that NXT is going to outperform Dynamite unless things change pretty quickly.”
WWE’s ratings have improved since the regime change of July 2022, with WWE NXT seeing a 16% increase in viewers in 2022 over Q4 2021.
