After missing action in late April due to a concussion, it was reported on May 30 that Braun Strowman was out of action with an unspecified injury before it was revealed that he needed surgery.

Earlier this week, Strowman confirmed that he had fusion surgery on his C4/C5 vertebrae.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Strowman is expected to be out of action for over a year. He wrote,

“Strowman, 39, underwent neck fusion surgery on his C-4 and C-5 vertebrae this past week at the Andrews Sports Medicine clinic in Birmingham. Generally neck fusion surgery is just over one year out of action.”
