New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Giulia could end up being a Superstar one day as WWE have been in contact with the popular Japanese wrestler.
Last month, it was reported that WWE had made an offer to Giulia, the reigning NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, but she remains under contract with Bushiroad.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was stated that Giulia has been in talks with WWE and has yet to decide what’s next in her career.
The report states, “Regarding Giulia, the update is that she has not made her mind up and that she and WWE have spoken several times of late. They’ve talked enough that there is something to the story, although the story she was going to the Performance Center at this time ended up not being accurate. But she has not told those in Japan that she’s staying nor that she’s leaving.”
In addition to her reign as NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, Giulia currently holds the Artist of STARDOM Championship alongside Mai Sakurai and Thekla.
If Giulia is signed to a main roster contract with WWE, she’d earn a base salary of $250,000 a year, which is far more than what she can make competing in Japan.
