GUNTHER recently suffered his first singles loss on the WWE main roster, losing to Chad Gable via count-out on the most recent episode of Monday Night RAW.
In a recent appearance on the “Eat, Sleep, Podcast, Repeat” podcast, the WWE Intercontinental Champion commented on whether he’d be wrestling at WWE Payback 2023, WWE’s next pay-per-view event scheduled for September 2. He said,
“We’ll see. I know as much as you know about that. I know on Monday; Chad Gable is scheduled to wrestle my best man Ludwig Kaiser. That’s going to be very interesting, and we go from there.”
While it has not been made official yet, GUNTHER vs. Chad Gable for the Intercontinental Championship seems quite logical at WWE Payback 2023.
