WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther has reached a milestone in his career, surpassing 200 days with the title.
Gunther captured the Intercontinental Championship from Ricochet in June of this year, and has defended against the one-and-only, Rey Mysterio, and Sheamus, among other opponents.
The Austrian powerhouse reached 200 days as champion on December 27, and has shown no signs of losing the title anytime soon.
Now on his 201st day as champion, Gunther will soon surpass Shinsuke Nakamura’s reign which ended in 2019, to become the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion since 2011.
Recently, both Drew McIntyre and Sheamus set their sights on Gunther’s Intercontinental title, with both vowing to win the gold in 2023.
