In a recent interview with Wresslinews, WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER discussed his tenacious performance in the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match and evaluated his chances of capturing the world title. GUNTHER said,

“Yeah, I mean, that’s the natural progression from now on, I think. But we will see where it goes. I’m the Intercontinental Champion. I’m not planning on losing the title. We’ll see. Rumble’s in a few months. If I’m in there, I think I’m one of the favorites. That would lead to WrestleMania. We’ll have to see.”

NJPW1972.com is reporting that a statue of the late Antonio Inoki was unveiled earlier today at the Sojiji Temple in Tsurumi, Yokohama, Japan.

The statue was unveiled to mark the first anniversary of Inoki’s passing.

Sonny Kiss parted ways with AEW following the expiration of her contract at the beginning of the month, and Dax Harwood took to Twitter to comment on Sonny’s exit from Tony Khan’s promotion. In response to Sonny’s statement, Dax wrote,

“All the time in wrestling, & in life, people talk about adversity. I don’t know anyone who has overcome more adversity than you. You’re such a role model for the human race. A smart, athletic, compassionate, beautiful human being who has earned the right to all the riches of the…world. I can’t wait to see what you do next in wrestling, but more importantly, in life. Me & my family ADORE everything about you. Never stop fighting. I’ll always be here for anything you need. I love you.”
