Mustafa Ali is still under contract with WWE despite him publicly asking for his release from the company.
Ali took to Twitter on Saturday morning and indicated that he may have been asked by WWE if he wanted to be in the Men’s Royal Rumble match while also noting that he still wants out.
Ali wrote, “no, i would not like to be in rumble. i would like my release.”
Fightful Select reports there are no working plans in creative for Ali and he still has “well over a year, at least” on his WWE deal.
Regarding his tweet, it was said at least one talent pitched an idea for Mustafa Ali to eliminate them, and were posed with the question if Ali would even be interested.
