Hulk Hogan’s time with TNA Wrestling may not have seen him win any championships, but the Hulkster will always remember the kindness shown by Dixie Carter.

Hogan signed with TNA (Impact Wrestling) in 2009 and would make his debut on a January 4, 2010 episode that would compete directly with WWE Monday Night RAW.

On a recent edition of the “Insight with Chris Van Vliet” podcast, Hogan recalled working with Carter, who made sure he was looked after despite the Hall of Famer having to undergo multiple surgeries. He explained,

“From the moment I walked in there I was getting cut on. Surgery after surgery after surgery after surgery, and all I can say is I was never in that situation but I didn’t expect her to pay me when I was out. I’d have a hip replacement and I’d be out for two and a half months and she’d still pay me every week. It was just amazing how consistent she was and how kind she was.

“A lot of people knocked her because she didn’t know the wrestling business or it was a hobby to her, stuff like that. But, all I know is how she treated people and how she treated me was the thing that really stands out was the type of person Dixie Carter was.”

Hogan’s final match would take place in Impact Wrestling and see him, James Storm, and Sting, best Bobby Roode, Bully Ray, and Kurt Angle at a January 2012 house show.
