As most wrestling fans may know, the “Broken” Matt Hardy saga began in 2016 during Matt’s run with TNA (Impact Wrestling). In a tweet by Impact Wrestling producer Garrett Kidney, he celebrated the anniversary of 2016 Tag Team Apocalypto match with the intent of Matt Hardy “deleting” all of TNA Wrestling. Matt replied to the tweet, confirming the angle.
There was a pitch at the time that at the end of Apocalypto, Matt Hardy would DELETE all of TNA to facilitate a rebrand. https://t.co/eGdflfGuJP

The Tag Team Apocalypto match took place at Total Nonstop Deletion and saw Broken Matt and Brother Nero (Jeff Hardy) defeat “The Monster” Abyss and Crazzy Steve. The TNA acronym would be changed and effectively deleted (so to speak) after Anthem Media bought the company and rebranded it to Impact Wrestling.
