The return of CM Punk proved to be a huge moment for those who’d competed in the Men’s WarGames match, according to ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso.

Uso was one of the Superstars who’d competed in the main event of Survivor Series 2023 and was in the ring when Punk made his shocking return to WWE.

In a recent interview with TNT Sports, Jey reflected on Punk’s return to WWE, close to a decade after walking out of the promotion in January 2014. He said,

“As soon as the music hit, we all stopped being characters, we’re all standing in the middle of the ring like talking, we go all like ‘Aw man, did you know?’ I think there’s a clip of me and Randy talking, you see Seth going ham down there. You think you know it all sometimes, and man, it’s cool to be surprised every now and then. Because we’re getting the same reaction as fans some of the times.”

Jey also reflected on his own experiences with Punk. He said,

“He was never trying to big dog us or none of that. I felt like he knew we was genuine people, real people. I feel like I’m one of the top promos in WWE, I feel like I can go, so to put me against a man who’s known for talking? Man, hell yeah.”

CM Punk will compete in this weekend’s Men’s Royal Rumble match in his first televised match for WWE since the Men’s Royal Rumble match in 2014.
