John Cena made a surprise appearance this week on WWE SmackDown as he popped up on the Titantron during a main event segment and booked himself in a match just in time for the holidays.
The Bloodline hit the ring for the main event segment as Roman Reigns addressed the lingering “Kevin Owens problem.” The Tribal Chief declared that he and Sami Zayn would destroy Owens and his mystery partner in a tag team match on December 30th.
Moments later, Cena showed up on the giant screen and cut a lengthy promo about how he accepted Kevin’s invitation to team up with him on the December 30th show.
Cena acknowledged that he hasn’t wrestled a single match in 2022 despite having had at least one match every year on television for the last 20 years.
The 16-time World Champion then announced himself as KO’s partner and closed out the show to a huge pop.
