John Morrison made his AEW debut, facing Samoa Joe in an Owen Hart Foundation tournament match to kick off this week’s episode of Dynamite. The former three-time WWE Intercontinental Champion was revealed as the ‘Joker’, going by the name of Johnny Elite.
In what was a first-time meeting for the pair, Samoa Joe would defeat Johnny Elite. Joe would pick up the victory via pinfall after hitting his opponent with the Muscle Buster.
Samoa Joe will now go on to face either Kyle O’Reilly or Rey Fenix in the next round of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Following the conclusion of the match, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt & Satnam Singh would attack Samoa Joe. However, their beatdown was interrupted by Trent?, Chuck Taylor & Rocky Romero.
