WWE personality Kayla Braxton has apologized over an insensitive tweet about Aaron Carter after the singer/actor’s death.
Carter died yesterday in Lancaster, California at the age of 34.
In a tweet, Braxton insinuated that Carter’s battles with addiction led to his death, but deleted the tweet after backlash from fans.
“Damn. RIP Aaron Carter addiction is a horrible sickness. I hate he wasn’t able to beat it.”
In a follow-up, the host of WWE’s ‘The Bump’ explained that she was told his death was due to addiction, but it has not been confirmed, and she does not want to spread false information.
I apologize if I spoke out of turn mentioning Aaron Carter’s addiction leading to his death. It’s what I was told, but I don’t want to spread false information. I know he’s been working hard to overcome addition. Regardless, very sad news. I was always rooting for him.
