Fans won’t be hearing the iconic Woo! of Ric Flair whenever they tune into WWE TV as the soundbite has been removed from the intro package.
During the opening for WWE Crown Jewel, fans noticed that the Woo! had been removed, and Flair responded on social media in a deleted tweet. He wrote,
“Hoping This Was An Error… Watching The #WWECrownJewel I Couldn’t Help But Notice My Absence From The Opening. Great Show! Tremendous Performances! Congratulations To All The @WWE Superstars! If I Turn Raw On Monday And I’m Not On, I’ll Absolutely Have To Speak On The Matter!”
Flair’s Woo! was removed last year after VICE’s Dark Side of the Ring focused on the infamous Plane Ride from Hell.
It is alleged that Flair exposed his genitals to female fight attendants and forced at least one attendant to touch his genitals.
Flair’s woo! was reinstated earlier this year, an act that led the Hall of Famer to personally thank Vince McMahon.
Last night’s intro package also saw Sasha Banks and Naomi re-added after being removed in May.
