Will Ospreay defeated Kazuchika Okada during Thursday’s NJPW G1 Climax 33 tournament, and The Rainmaker reacted to the defeat following the show.

Speaking in a backstage interview, Okada noted that losing to the IWGP United States Champion wasn’t anything to be ashamed of, though it’s still upsetting. He said,

“Well, losing to Ospreay today is nothing to be ashamed of. But it still burns me up. Even though we fight on different teams, we’re still like brothers, in some ways. Nothing’s worse than losing to your little bro,” Okada said. “Well, I’ve known for years just how strong Ospreay really is. Unfortunately, that’s it for our meeting in the G1 blocks. Ospreay… See you in the finals.”

Mickie James put her in-ring career at stake with her famous “Last Rodeo” storyline in Impact, and she and Tommy Dreamer discussed how the storyline came about.

On a recent edition of “GAW TV,” James and Dreamer discussed the “Last Rodeo” storyline that saw James capturing the Impact Knockouts World Championship.

You can check out some highlights from the interview below:

Dreamer on where the idea came about: “[The Last Rodeo] was a conversation that me and Mickie had. I wanted to do this because I know how Mickie feels personally about herself and her career … That was how the whole thing started and it got stretched out. It worked too. When she got hurt, I know she felt down about it. [But I reminded her that] it makes you stronger when you do come back because you have a guaranteed title shot [and] you have a guaranteed storyline since you never lost that title.”

James on the storyline: “I was really excited and loving The Last Rodeo. It was so beautiful and perfectly done. I think because we all could creatively get together, and that was the same success with my original storyline with Trish, is because we were all able to create together … Everybody’s input is what made it special.”
