Pro Wrestling NOAH held its ‘The New Year’ 2024 show earlier this week with the main event singles match between Naomichi Marufuji and Kota Ibushi, where they wrestled for 30 minutes before Ibushi went over in the end.
Ibushi went for an outside moonsault, and when he landed, he grabbed his ankle. Kota was taken to the hospital after the bout, which was heavily criticized.
Ibushi apologized for the match by writing,
“I was scammed by a place called C5 Clinic, which is spread all over the country, as I mentioned before. Take care of yourself, please. I think NOAH will release information about my surgery, fractures and dislocations, etc. I’m sorry for the game, everyone. It’s all my fault.”

Ibushi was already wrestling with a broken left ankle and with this Moonsault, he further injured himself.
It was bound to be a disaster. Hopefully he takes care of his injuries.pic.twitter.com/9vaUqCxPNC https://t.co/09KcNz9NHE
