Kota Ibushi left New Japan Pro Wrestling on bad terms after making accusations against the company while being out of action for several months.
He will return to in-ring action against Mike Bailey at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 9 tonight at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Los Angeles, CA.
The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion took to Twitter last night to reveal that he suffered an injury. However, he plans to push through the match. Ibushi wrote,
“I understand a lot, but this is a comeback match. . Why do I only feel like I’m being disrespected so badly? I wonder why I injured my right shoulder again at the MMA gym. Well, the second day is also suspicious, but I will do my best not to break and show the power of the Japanese.”
