WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has spoken about JBL’s backstage antics in the promotion, which he believes were “entertaining as hell.”
In addition to being known for his wrestling, JBL is known by countless fans for his hazing and bullying of Superstars within WWE.
Mark Henry, Matt Hardy, René Duprée, Daivari, Ivory, and The Miz, among others, have spoken about Layfield’s bullying in the past.
Speaking about JBL on his “Kurt Angle Show” podcast, the Olympian shared his takes on JBL’s backstage antics. He said,
“JBL was just the biggest ribber! He did some funny stuff, and you know, some very tasteless jokes to a lot of wrestlers [laughs]! Stuff that I don’t even want to announce! But JBL was a great guy to have around because he was entertaining as hell.”
During an episode of his podcast in 2021, Angle said that while JBL did bully some in the company, it wasn’t meant to be harmful. He said,
“He was a bit of a bully. I mean, He’s harmless; he doesn’t mean to be offensive.”
