The WWN “Super Week” starts tonight with Style Battle S1:E5! We have a look at all the matches set for the week ahead of us, plus top matches for EVOLVE in Charlotte and Atlanta, news on SHINE and more. Let’s get to it….
June 16th: WWN Champion Matt Riddle said he’d defend the championship in every WWN Family promotion when he won the title and he’s backing up his words. Riddle makes a rare trip to Florida to defend against Martin Stone tonight at Style Battle. If Riddle is successful, he will defend against FIP Florida Heritage Champion Jon Davis this Saturday evening. If either Stone or Davis wins the championship, they will be added to future EVOLVE shows. Both have a long history of success in WWN. Now they get their shot at the top prize.
June 16th: Some feel that Riddle has taken on too ambitious of a schedule The WWN Champion has two first-time-ever matches this weekend. Then next Saturday at EVOLVE in Melrose, MA it will be Riddle vs. EVOLVE Champion Zack Sabre Jr. in one of the biggest matches of the year anywhere. A week from Sunday it will be Riddle vs. the red hot Keith Lee in Queens, NY, and if Riddle is still champion the title will be on the line! Is Riddle taking on more than he can handle?
June 16th The classic EVOLVE rivalry is coming to a classic wrestling city. EVOLVE 88 on July 8th in Charlotte will see the rematch as EVOLVE Champion Zack Sabre Jr. takes on former champion Timothy Thatcher with Stokely Hathaway. We’ll have much more on this match soon.
June 16th: EVOLVE Tag Team Champions Chris Dickinson & Jaka are set to defend against a Superteam from the south on July 8th in Charlotte. It’ll be Dickinson & Jaka vs. Anthony Henry & James Drake at EVOLVE 88!
June 16th: EVOLVE Champion Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Fred Yehi has been signed for EVOLVE 89 on July 9th in Atlanta!
June 16th: Tickets will be available at the door for both Style Battle tonight at 9pm and FIP on Saturday at 6pm. Both events are at The Orpheum in Ybor City, FL. Tickets for all upcoming events are on sale at TicketFly.com. We also want to remind you that there is a combo ticket for this weekend’s Style Battle and FIP so you can save money!
