Check Out: Possible Spoilers For Clash Of Champions, Two Matches Undergoing Major Changes

We have further updates on some major card changes for tonight’s WWE Clash of Champions (see original post above). Bryan Alvarez from The Wrestling Observer has provided an update on the SmackDown Women’s Championship Match between Bayley and Nikki Cross. He has confirmed that both the SmackDown Women’s Title and Women’s Tag Team Championship matches are “off” the card.

Despite the news, WWE was still promoting the Women’s Tag Team Title match on their Twitter page (shown below).

Additionally, Fightful is reporting that Nikki Cross is not at the Amway Center tonight at all and the reason for the sudden changes is due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak ongoing in WWE. There was concern among sources that coronavirus could have spread to the main roster since NXT trainees worked as masked members of RETRIBUTION last Monday.

WWE has been planning Nikki Cross’ absence for Clash of Champions since earlier this week when they knew she wouldn’t be there. It’s still unknown how the women’s tag title match is being affected, or if WWE plans to reschedule the match up. However, the report notes that there is some frustration backstage over the new changes.

Two WWE Superstars expressed frustration with WWE’s current training methods, which they say left wrestlers more open to exposure to the coronavirus.

As a result of these changes, Asuka vs. Zelina Vega for the Raw women’s title is now being moved up to the main card. The match was originally scheduled for the Kickoff show. Now, WWE is reportedly working on a new match to take place on the WWE Kickoff Show.
