Anthony Anzaldo, who was Joanie “Chyna” Laurer’s manager and was also involved in a documentary being filmed about her, recently did an interview with The New York Daily News and revealed some additional news on her passing. He told the website that the person who found her body was filming for the documentary when he entered the home and came upon her.
Anzaldo also revealed that he found Chyna in bed and there were no signs of any foul play or trauma, including blood or vomit. There were reportedly two prescription pill bottles in her bedroom – one for Ambien and another “anti-anxiety medication similar to Xanax”. There were no alcohol or illegal drugs found in the room.
Anzaldo confirmed reports that he’s trying to get get permission from her family to authorize her brain to be donated to CTE research.
“My only solace is that she obviously died in her sleep with no pain,” Anzaldo said. “She was alive one second and dead the next. It doesn’t look like there was a struggle for air.”
