As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Vince McMahon was said to have been in a very good mood at Friday night’s WWE SmackDown TV tapings in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Of course, McMahon stepped down as WWE Chairman and CEO just hours earlier.
According to a report from Fightful, there wasn’t anyone on the talent side who knew what Vince McMahon was going to say during his promo.
Believe it or not, the atmosphere at the show was said to have been “more relaxed than usual.” Going into the show, the talent expected things to be tense.
Additionally, Vince McMahon was said to be very hands on with the show, more so than usual. One WWE staff member believed that was his way of showing that he’s still in charge of the company.
Finally, one WWE talent said McMahon’s brief promo was meant to show that he isn’t running from the allegations that have been made against him.
