Following her abrupt release back in November, multiple WWE Superstars were said to have been “not surprised” that Vince McMahon refused to meet up with Zelina Vega. As previously reported here on eWn, Zelina was released in controversial fashion after she took a hard stance on third-party platforms. Prior to being released, she had requested several sit-down meetings with the WWE Chairman, all of which were denied by Vince.
According to Fightful Select, several WWE Superstars mentioned that they’d have to wait by his office for an hour at a time just to be able to talk to him. One Superstar said that it didn’t give them a lot of confidence that Vega couldn’t get a meeting even though she had a concern over a hot issue, and she was still fired, much to the dismay of the WWE Universe.
One Superstar from the RAW Brand noted there has been a change in the last nine months, as WWE went from not letting unhappy wrestlers go, then released talent with “upside”, then fired people with issues.
