On last night’s episode of SmackDown Live, Randy Orton defeated Mustafa Ali in singles competition. After the bout, WWE shared an image on Instagram showing a nasty bruise Ali suffered during the bout. Ali’s left eye was badly bruised and swollen after going toe-to-toe with “The Viper”:

Ali was extremely confident heading into his match-up with the former WWE Champion but was silenced with an RKO from one of WWE’s longest-tenured veterans. Ali will get his opportunity at a WWE World Title at the Elimination pay-per-view (PPV) later on this month. He’ll be one of five men challenging for Daniel Bryan’s WWE Title inside the steel structure. Others involved in the match include Bryan, AJ Styles, Orton, Samoa Joe, and Jeff Hardy.
