WWE’s habit of changing the names and characters of well-established stars has claimed another one. This time, it’s former NXT UK stand-out A-Kid.

On Tuesday night’s episode of WWE NXT 2.0, the character of “Axiom” made his on-screen debut. Presented as a mathematical superhero, the gimmick caught the attention of several folks online, including Chelsea Green and Deonna Purrazzo. Most vocal among the online critics was independent wrestler Razerwyng, who joked that Axiom was a discount version of his character:

Razerwyng later clarified that he had no issue with the former A-Kid himself, posting:

“I harbor no ill will toward whoever is under the mask, rest assured. If you wanna see what I’m all about, you can catch me on promotions like Dropkick Depression, Beyond Wrestling, Inter Species Wrestling, H2O Wrestling, and many others!”

However, Razerwyng was not the only one to take shots at the character online. Chelsea Green posted to Twitter that the “Axiom” character was something that Deonna Purrazzo had pitched during her time in NXT nearly four years ago.
