New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) President Takami Ohbari is being hailed a hero following his trip to the United States for the AEW Dynamite TV tapings that took place in Pittsburgh, PA last Wednesday night. Additionally, he was also in attendance at NJPW’s “Windy City” Riot event.
Ohbari took to Twitter on Friday and announced that he had arrived back home in Japan. As he was traveling home, he witnessed a young girl fall off a train platform. The girl fell between the main train tracks and the platform as her mother begged for help. That’s when Ohbari jumped into action and helped get the girl to safety.
Ohbari tweeted out the following regarding the incident (rough translation),
“I just returned home and am on my way home by train. A few minutes ago, a girl who could barely stand fell between the train and the platform. She was lying on the platform, and with the help of her mother, we managed to pull her up. Her little face could barely fit through the gap.
Parents beware!
Since I retired from volleyball, my height has never been so useful. My heart is still racing.”
