Several NJPW stars will see their contracts expire this month following Wrestle Kingdom 18. At the event, TJP and Francesco Akira defeated Clark Connors and Drilla Moloney of Bullet Club War Dogs to become the new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Connors worked this week without a contract, and it was revealed that his NJPW contract had actually expired while he was still the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion.
The report states that both sides have been in active discussions, but it remains unclear whether they have reached an agreement on a new deal this week.
