New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced a special NJPW vs. AJPW 8-Man Tag Team match for Yuji Nagata’s Blue Justice XII. The event takes place on June 18 in Chiba, Japan.
NJPW will be represented by Nagata, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Satoshi Kojima, and Master Wato. AJPW will be represented by Yuma Anzai, Atsuki, Yuma Aoyagi, and Kento Miyahara.

One of the highlights of the NJPW calendar every year is Yuji Nagata’s annual return to his home digs in Chiba, and the self produced Blue Justice card that comes with it. Most often an autumn affair, this year, Blue Justice will kick off the summer, with a big NJPW vs AJPW main event on June 18!
This time making a triumphant return home with the AJPW Triple Crown Championship, Nagata will join Hiroshi Tanahashi, Satoshi Kojima and Master Wato to face All Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Yuma Anzai, Atsuki and Yuma Aoyagi, and Kento Miyahara. Opposite a cross generational NJPW side, the All Japan team is an indication of the strong youth depth of the AJPW roster, with the experienced, charismatic figure of Miyahara leading three strong prospects still int heir mid 20s. Might one emerge as the next contender to Nagata’s crown? With this eight man main event atop a loaded card, don’t miss Blue Justice!
NJPW further announced two matches for the upcoming NJPW Strong Independence Day event. The show takes place on July 4-5 at Korakuen Hall.
On the inaugural night, TJP & Francesco Akira will defend the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships against Clark Connors and Dan Maloney. On the second night, KENTA will defend the STRONG Openweight Championship against Eddie Kingston.

After Catch 2/2 regained the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships at Dominion, Clark Connors would stare down the new champions from the entrance ramp. Misdirecting Francesco Akira and TJP’s attention, he opened the door for Dan Moloney to attack them from behind. Mere weeks after coming to NJPW as part of the United Empire, the Drilla turned his back on the group to align himself with BULLET CLUB, and challenge for the tag titles. During Best of the Super Jr., Connors and Moloney engaged in a wild and brutal brawl that seemingly turned heads and earned respect from David Finlay and Gedo. Perfectly fitting the savage mindset pervading the group, Connors and Moloney will be intimidating power junior challengers to the new champs, but can they come away with the gold July 4?
On July 5, the STRONG Openweight Championship will be on the line when Eddie Kingston challenges KENTA. The Mad King will be making a long overdue Korakuen Hall debut for Independence Day, and he’s set his sights on KENTA. Yet after the BULLET CLUB member showed that he was willing to throw Hikuleo off bleachers in order to claim the STRONG Openweight gold, what lengths is he willing to go to to keep his title on home turf?
