NXT Ratings Breakdown, Stiff Competition With World Series

This past Tuesday’s episode NXT drew in 631,000 viewers and a 0.18 (198,000 viewers) in the key 18-49 demographic. NXT was against some serious competition as the Atlanta Braves won their first MLB World Series since 1995 against the Boston Red Sox. In addition, NXT was also up against the NBA and the Election News Coverage on ABC.

Overall, NXT was #30 for the night and 16 of the 29 shows ahead of it were news shows. It was #11 in its time slot. The World Series game, which was the sixth and final this year and featured the Atlanta Braves beating the Boston Red Sox, had 13,968,000 viewers and a 3.37 in 18-49. NBA on TNT had 1,026,000 viewers and a 0.39 rating. Hannity, the top news show of the night, had 4,926,000 viewers and a 0.54.

The show was down 15.4% in viewers, down 17.8% in 18-49 and down 33% in 18-34. The biggest drops were with viewers under the age of 35, the exact audience WWE has been looking to attract with recent changes to the show. It had 34,000 viewers in men 18-34 (down 46.9%), 25,000 in women 18-34 (up 4.2%), 95,000 in men 35-49 (down 10.4%) and 43,000 in women 35-49 (down 6.5%). The audience was 65.2% male in 18-49. The show had an 0.04 in 12-17 (down 50%), 0.08 in 18-34 (down 33%), 0.22 in 35-49 (down 9.2%) and 0.37 in 50+ (down 9.8%).
