Police Report Reveals Additional Details On BJ Whitmer’s Domestic Violence Arrest

BJ Whitmer was fired by AEW following his arrest for domestic violence and burglary. Whitmer was arrested on June 4th in Boone County, Kentucky, and charged with strangulation in the first degree and burglary in the second degree.

The police report for Whitmer’s arrest on charges of domestic violence and burglary has revealed new details on the heated altercation.

The Boone County, Kentucky Sheriff Department’s report of the arrest details what allegedly happened, which says that the woman had been receiving texts from Whitmer throughout the day, including one that said he would “see her soon.”

Whitmer entered the residence of his ex-girlfriend without her consent at 6:14 PM on June 4th through an open door, and she witnessed this from her neighborhood pool while returning home.

Whitmer asked the woman to delete his messages from her phone. Her refusal to comply made Whitmer “irate [and] he approached her, grabbed her by the throat and threw her down on the couch where he began strangling her.”

The victim alleged that Whitmer choked her to the point that she believed she would lose consciousness. The report states that she had bruises on her neck and visible red marks at the time the Kentucky deputies reached her home.

Whitmer had already fled the scene at the time and had likely gone to a relative’s house, where he was found and detained by police for questioning. Whitmer declined to comment at the time.

The woman was evaluated and treated by Walton Fire/EMS. She stated that her throat was “very sore” but refused to be hospitalized or taken to the ER.
