AEW wrestler MJF could be competing once more for the promotion as soon as this Sunday, according to Dave Meltzer.
MJF hasn’t appeared since June, after cutting a scathing worked-shoot promo about AEW, culminating with him begging Tony Khan to fire him.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer suggested that MJF will compete in this weekend’s All Out Casino Ladder Match.
“MJF is coming back and a winner gets a title shot…He’s definitely in the running if you’re gonna put odds on something, so he’ll be the likely guy.
“I don’t know who’s out there on the free agent thing or on the roster who could be the mystery guy – he could pull it off and it would work. If they want him to get into a championship match, this is a way to justify it.”
The winner of the Casino Ladder match will receive an AEW World Championship match.
AEW All Out 2022 will see Undisputed AEW World Champion Jon Moxley defend against CM Punk.
