During a recent appearance on WWE’s “The Bump,” Raquel Rodriguez gave high praise for Becky Lynch and Tiffany Stratton’s match at this past Saturday’s WWE NXT: No Mercy pay-per-view event. She said,
“It’s absolutely amazing. Any time that the women get to main event, No Mercy, a PLE, even a Raw, SmackDown, or NXT — it’s just a leap forward for the women’s division. Getting to see those two women go out there and leave it all out there from the cut on Becky’s elbow to Tiffany flying out onto the announce table, it was insane. I was very, very proud of both of them.”
In other news, Corey Graves recently took to his “After the Bell” podcast to discuss tonight’s WWE Fastlane 2023 pay-per-view event, including his thoughts that Shinsuke Nakamura will dethrone Seth Rollins to capture the World Heavyweight Championship. He said,
“We’re seeing the best Shinsuke Nakamura we have seen in the United States. I think Nakamura is ready, I think Nakamura is capable of — it should be somewhat exciting to think of the prospect of Shinsuke defending his championship against all these different opponents. This may be a bit of a hot take … Shinsuke Nakamura dethrones Seth Freakin Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at Fastlane. That’s how I see it playing out. I’m not saying I like it or I’m hoping that’s how it works out, I’m saying that as the analyst in me who has watched way too much wrestling over the years.”
