According to a report from Fightful, AEW has been changing up its booking plans regarding the AEW Tag Team Championships since Double or Nothing.

The report notes that some AEW talent have indicated that they’ve heard word since before Double or Nothing that the plan was for the Hardys to have a run with the titles. There were some talents who were frustrated coming out of Double or Nothing weekend, as they had heard Jeff was intoxicated publicly in Las Vegas, NV. One source said Hardy appeared to be drunk in the lobby of the talent hotel. There was also some talk about Jeff’s performance in the Hardys vs. Young Bucks match at Double or Nothing, which didn’t come across very well. At the time, there was talk that he sustained an injury to his head. When Hardy was arrested on Monday morning, he told officers that he had an upcoming doctor’s appointment that would involve “brain scans.”

Following AEW Double or Nothing weekend, it was rumored that the titles would likely be going to the Young Bucks instead. The discussion of the Hardys being the next tag team champions fell off immediately following Double or Nothing weekend.

Additionally, the segment that aired on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite featuring Christian, Jurassic Express, the Hardys, and the Young Bucks was filmed the previous week.

Many people backstage in AEW have been concerned for Jeff Hardy in recent weeks, as they saw signs that something was off. Some believe there are “some indications” that a situation like this could pop up again.
