WWE is reportedly keeping some Vince McMahon secrets out of the public eye now that he is back with the company.
McMahon returned to WWE’s board of directors yesterday after retiring as CEO and Chairman of the board in July 2022.
During today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed WWE’s board welcoming him back, despite it being previously made clear that they didn’t want McMahon to return. He said,
“They’re trying to present a unified company. They’re all happy that Vince McMahon is back, and how wonderful it is. Like again, on December 27th that board voted unanimously that ‘we don’t want you back.’
“One of the reasons is there is stuff that the people don’t know that hasn’t come out. I don’t know what that is, but they mentioned that is one of the reasons him coming back wasn’t the best.”
In his press release issued earlier this week, McMahon said his interest in returning was to oversee a potential sale of the company.
