Ric Flair and Mike Tyson are business partners in the cannabis industry. The Nature Boy’s “Ric Flair Drip” cannabis line is part of the legendary boxer’s “Tyson 2.0” brand.
On a recent edition of the “This Past Weekend” podcast, Flair recalled getting high with Iron Mike, going into a “cannabis coma” and believing he was dead. Flair said,
“I got so high with Mike one night in the Hamptons that I went into a cannabis coma. I actually thought I died. They brought me back to my room, and I laid there and I wasn’t aware of anything. I kept asking them to touch me, like you do when you think you’ve been hurt. People were squeezing my hand. I would be talking to them, and they wouldn’t talk back to me. I was on a delayed process.”
“I said to myself, ‘Did I die? Have I just died? I feel like I did when I was in my coma, but I can think, and I don’t think I could think in my coma.’ That’s the way I was talking to myself. All of a sudden, at three in the morning, I sat up in a blur and went, ‘I’m alive. I’m back.’ I called someone on the phone, ‘is this really you?’ That’s how screwed up I got.”
Flair had a long history with Dusty Rhodes and he spoke about the late Hall of Famer’s legacy during the same podcast.
You can check out some highlights from the interview below:
On Rhodes’ legacy: “Great guy. He was so lovable. … [Dusty was] one of the most innovative, right there tied with Vince [McMahon].”
On his history with Dusty: “You know, I wrestled him probably a thousand hours, broadway. He could wrestle for an hour. … He was in good condition. It’s hard to wrestle for an hour.”
