Fans hoping for CM Punk’s return to WWE may have to wait longer following his release from AEW.
There had been reports last week about talks between Punk and WWE for a comeback. While an original report suggested that talks were ongoing, no deal had been reached. WWE Survivor Series 2023 in Chicago, IL was speculated as a potential return date.
However, Fightful Select reported today that Punk has no plans to return to WWE. Additionally, several WWE sources have denied any conversations with Punk about a comeback.
Wrestlers in WWE were told by officials this week that there are no ongoing talks between the two sides.
