Former WWE Superstar Scott Garland, also known as Scotty 2 Hotty, served as a trainer for WWE’s NXT brand at the Performance Center from 2016 to 2021.
He requested and was granted a release from his position in WWE, leading him to transition back into the independent wrestling scene.
In July of this year, it was reported that he had joined All Elite Wrestling as a producer, a role he confirmed during a recent appearance on the “Wrestling With Johners” podcast.
Garland said, “I don’t think it’s a huge secret that I’ve been working for AEW as a producer behind the scenes, as a coach and producer there. I have an opportunity to do more with them, on a regular basis. It looks like at the beginning of the year, I’ll be going pretty hard with them if everything works out the way I hope it does.”
