Former WWE Superstar Shelton Benjamin hopes 2024 brings big things for his former tag partner Chad Gable in the promotion.
After re-signing with WWE in 2016, Benjamin teamed with Gable in 2017 though the pair failed to capture championship gold.
On a recent edition of “The Kurt Angle Show” podcast, Benjamin spoke about Gable, who is now part of the Alpha Academy. He said,
“I really wish they would do more with him. The knock is always going to be his size, but who cares? That kid is phenomenal. I don’t think I was the right partner for him, but at the same time, I think he’s phenomenal. I think he’s underutilized, underappreciated, so he has a lot in common with me.”
Gable is a former RAW, SmackDown, and NXT Tag Team Champion and is one of six men to have achieved this unique accolade.
Benjamin was released from WWE in September of last year. He is currently weighing his options for his in-ring future.
