In a recent interview with News4Jax, Swerve Strickland shared his thoughts on MJF as the reigning AEW World Champion, his goal to win the AEW World Title, and more.

On AEW bringing competition to wrestling and WWE: “It’s competition and I think competition builds character. Everybody has to step their game up. Whether it be the talent, Tony Khan himself, whether it be the competition itself in WWE. We want to compete and show the case that there’s another place to go and a different way of doing this.”
On how the Swerve dance has blown up across social media: “At one point he [Prince Nana] did an IG reel. You’re seeing Jeff Jarrett on his podcast doing it. You’re seeing Eric Bischoff. Okay! So they are watching.”
Strickland faces RUSH in the AEW Continental Classic tournament tonight on Dynamite.
