Tetsuya Naito, who won the cup in 2016, defeated Yujiro Takahashi, Gedo, Hiroshi Tanahashi and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion all with roll up variations.
Zack Sabre Jr., 2018 winner (eliminated Naito at the first round in that occasion), defeated Ryohei Oiwa, DOUKI, Great-O-Khan, Will Ospreay and Shingo Takagi all via submission.
The event will take place at the Ryōgoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo, the same venue that hosted today’s show.
