WWE released many wrestlers over the last couple years, but they might have realized that they don’t have enough women for the Royal Rumble. Fightful Select reported today that WWE called some former talents who have been cut in the former IIconics, who refused.
According to the report, WWE reached out to Jessie McKay (Billie Kay) and Cassie Lee (Peyton Royce), who are the current Impact Knockouts Tag Team Champions as “The IInspiration”, in order to have them come back for one night only. The two are said to be happy where they are and aren’t interested in returning for one single show.
In order to fill the void of a thin roster, WWE called back several legends and alumni such as The Bella Twins, Lita, Michelle McCool, Summer Rae and Mickie James, with the latter also being released by WWE in 2021.
